Virginia Wolf participated in field hockey, basketball, swimming and volleyball at Earlham. A recipient of an E blazer, she helped organize the College’s Sports Days. Wolf assisted Kathryn “Bud” Weber as a teacher of various sports as well as performed administrative tasks and cared for the equipment. A physical education major with a minor in English, she was active in the Phoenix and Spanish clubs and served as president of the Earlham Senate. Wolf earned her master’s degree in physical education and psychology from the University of Colorado in 1950. After teaching and coaching at Colorado College (1946-48), University of Washington (1950-53), Sam Houston State University (1953-59), the University of Colorado (1959-61) and Penn State University (1961-64), the collegiate educator served the final 28 years of her career at the University of Idaho. Retired at the time of induction, she was involved in athletics as a booster of the school programs in Port Townsend, Wash.
