Induction Year: 2023

Earlham athletic trainer Bill Kinsey has been inducted into the Hall of Fame for his service and dedication to Earlham’s athletes and their wellbeing.

Bill earned his bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University in 1991, and his Master of Science from Eastern Illinois University in 1993. For over 32 years, he has worked as a certified athletic trainer in the sports medicine field, including at Haverford School in Philadelphia; Bloom High School in Chicago Heights, Ill.; and Goshen College in Goshen, Ind.

Bill began his tenure at Earlham in 2005 and has been serving Earlham’s athletic programs for over 18 years. In his position, he works with Earlham athletics to handle health and wellness concerns for Earlham’s student-athletes—all the bumps and bruises, aches and pains that come with athletic training and competition.

Bill has been married to his wife, Kari, for 32 years and has three children: Maggie, Ian, and Sean. Kinsey’s family has become a mainstay of the Earlham community, as Kari and Maggie are also employed by the College.

Bill’s favorite aspect of his job is working with college athletes to recover from injury and return to competition. Through his dedicated work with Earlham’s student-athletes and coaching staff, Kinsey has become an invaluable resource and support for Earlham’s athletic programs through the years.
